The project will provide tools for communities to tackle sustainability issues, in all socio economic and environmental areas
Description of sustainable development challenge(s) in the area the project addresses: 
The key challenge that the project identifies is the need for local communities to start to take action themselves and not wait for governments or policy makers. The project will address all the SDGs eventually but currently it focuses especially on those relating to TVET, climate action, the needs of vulnerable women and children, racisms and discrimination

Rationale: 
The rationale is based on community empowerment and the belief that communities can only empower themselves. The project will provide tools to help them to do this but will not set out blueprints, knowing that each context is different and the focus will need to be adapted accoridngly
Objectives: 
To produce a series of community empowerment toolkits which can be adaptable globally for a range of different issues.
Activities and/or practices employed: 
RCE London and COMMEET will bring together toolkit teams drawn from all global regions in order to develop a useful resources for community groups. So far 2 toolkits have been completed, namely one promoting the well being of migrants and one on TVET for sustainability
Size of academic audience: 
The project is not yet completed but so far around 60
Results: 
Very positive responses from stakeholders and from the trialling team in Malaysia
Lessons learned: 
The project is ongoing and so we are still learning lessons. we are keen to get more feedback from the RCE community.
The project is a response for UNESCO's call fro more community action and we would like to engage more RCEs in working with the community
