In late July RCE Salisbury co-hosted a day-long climate action meeting with the National Oceanographic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) focusing on SDG 14, 14, and 15 related projects and programs being undertaken or planned on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

On October 3 to 5, RCE Salisbury hosted the 11th Americas Meeting under the theme “Now, More than Ever! The RCE Network as a Peace Leader! The meeting also took stock of regional initiatives, including the role of ESD in implementing sustainable development on the ground in the Americas region. RCE Salisbury housed by the Bosserman Center for Conflict Resolution, hosted this in-person event. This is the third time that RCE Salisbury has hosted the Americas Meeting but was the first time the meeting was in-person.

RCE Salisbury partook in a social media challenge with RCE North Texas’ student journal, know as the The Sustainable Age. The social media challenge featured Bosserman Center for Conflict Resolution Spiritual Guide Arun Gandhi. RCE Salisbury also submitted an article for publication with the journal and published a video. RCE Salisbury Co-Secretariat Brittany Foutz also continued to serve on the RCE Americas Governance Committee and the Americas Strategic Planning Support Committee, and now serves as the Director for the Communications Committee and Education Task Force. Foutz also hosted the SDG + Community Engaged Learning Workshop with Steve Grande and Aditi Garg of RCE Americas a workshop on July 12 where they explored the tensions and opportunities with integrating community-engaged learning with the sustainable development goals.

RCE Salisbury Co-Secretariat Brittany took part in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization on Action with Track 2: Learning and skills for work, life and sustainable development in the context of the UN Transforming Education Summit.
