4th European Fair on Education for Sustainable Development - "Implementing Sustainable Development in European Cities and Regions", 9-11 September 2015, Hamburg, Germany

In 2014 the UN-decade of “Education for Sustainable Development” which generated manifold activities and projects in the field of sustainable development came to an end. After its completion there still exists a growing demand for international cooperation and initiatives.

As a subsequent agenda to the UN-decade the UNESCO proclaimed the Global Action Program on “Education for Sustainable Development” for the years 2015 to 2019. A roadmap was published as a schedule that clarifies the aims, facilitates the strategic focus and stimulates engagement in the program.

For this reason the RCE Hamburg and Region together with the Research and Transfer Centre Applications of Life Sciences (FTZ-ALS) of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) organizes the sustainability fair European Fair on Education for Sustainable Development - „Implementing Sustainable Development in European Cities and Regions“.

Thematically, the event will focus on a wide range of areas which include (but are not limited to) Education for Sustainable Development initiatives surrounding themes such as renewable energy and resource efficiency, environmental management and climate change.
