Communication and use of Portal

Dear colleagues and friends from European RCEs,

May I please encourage us to consider making full use of the impulse created during all the preparatory work for the events in Japan as well as the conversations and decisions that occurred during that time and provide minimum data about your activities to the whole of the community?

I wrote about it last week so forgive the repetition but it is wise to utilize opportunities of existing system (communication, keeping up to date contact information, peer-to-peer couching in the acknowledgement proses, joint research and publications, etc.). Those of you who are new to the community might wish to look more closely into that. Hanna, who is our very new communication manager, is putting together/updating a quick communication guide.

For example, the RCE Portal enables you to put short profile of your RCEs and the key ongoing activities. In this way, anybody looking for partners can find you. The Discussion forums (including Idea MArketplace) help to share and generate ideas. Each and every one of you can become a facilitator of the discussions, ask for partnerships and post requests for data. For this all to be effective, however, we have to have a critical mass of sharing.

Hanna is very willing to respond to your technical questions about using the Portal.
