5. Project description
Provide a short description of the project including strategies, regional challenges, aims and specific project activities.: 

Introduction:

Currently, Science Faculty already has a living lab which is UMcrop and small farm of poultry/goat in ISB. These facilities use by our researcher in the production of better yields. The faculty plan that these facilities can be shared by the visitor especially the student and foreign visitors as one of the edu-tourism activity.

 

Objectives:   

1. To intensify Edu-tourism activity in Science Faculty.

2. To identify and improve the facilities in Science Faculty by making it more comfortable. 

3. To afford the requirement needed by the activity.

 

Knowledge transferred:

This project have three main components: 1) Activity related to the research result - UMcrop 2) Collection of exhibits activity –Museum of Geology/Museum of Zoology/Herbarium in Rimba Ilmu 3) Activity related to education - Visitation to research laboratory of ISB/ISM/Chemistry/Physic/Geology/Science and Technology

 

Impact of project:

This project will increase the interest of the student towards science thus will contribute to the increase of science background student in Malaysia. This will also influence the ability of university to attract quality science student to continue their study in UM.
