Activities
Current Activities:
  • ESD with vocational institutions in Denmark and Kenya - Practical Communities (USHIRIKA FITI) is an exchange project between three vocational institutions in Denmark and one in Kenya, where students from the carpentry and carpentry trades in both countries must collaborate on co-learning within sustainable development, global citizenship and knowledge of Denmark's development assistance. • UBU.NU – a conference on Education for Sustainable Education - UBU.NU is an event in a series of conferences that will focus on ESD on a national level. The conference comes as a natural extension of the proposal for a national action plan for ESD. Learn more
  • Open meetings - In RCE Denmark, we are working on an inviting format that supports our task of being a forum that shares knowledge about ESD. We call this format 'Open meetings' and it is for everyone who is curious about ESD.
  • The literature list on ESD - Every year, two of RCE-Denmark's board members update the bibliography, which provides a comprehensive overview of both Danish, Nordic and international research literature and relevant policy texts on ESD. Learn more

Upcoming Activities:
  • National action plan for ESD - RCE Denmark supports the work with the national action plan for ESD. Both as academic professionals with research-based knowledge of ESD, and as representatives and participants in several of the eight educational partnerships that work nationally with ESD at several educational levels. This national political work extends further than RCE Denmark and therefore it also helps our association to want to strengthen our international work and network in the future.
  • Knowledge Center for ESD - The above activity has created a space to discuss a need for a national Knowledge Center for ESD, which we in RCE Denmark have been proposing for several years. Now it is finally on the way and RCE Denmark is of course also involved in this work with fundraising and establishment.
  • Ambition to strengthen our international network - Since there is a lot of national activity around ESD, RCE Denmark also sees a need to expand and strengthen our international network. Going forward, it will be an ambition for RCE Denmark to participate more actively in the international RCE work.
