Description of RCE and Geographic Region:

RCE KwaZulu-Natal collaborates with various partners in ESD, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa, in the Midlands region of Pietermaritzburg and northwards.

All individuals and organisations in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands who seek more sustainable practices through ESD are welcome to join and collaborate.

Achievements:
  • Attended and presented the keynote at the African RCE meeting in eSwatini from 5-7 August, 2019
  • Hosted the AfriAlliance workshop on Citizen Science for the southern African region
  • Supported the Umzimvubu Catchment Project – catchment-wide sustainable living
  • Supported NADEET (in Namibia). NADEET won the UNESCO award (US $ 50,000)
