RCE Bogota Coordinator Olga María Bermúdez Guerrero receives lifetime Award for environmental contributions in Colombia

On February 26, 2016 the District Secretary of Environment honored Olga María Bermúdez Guerrero, Coordinator of RCE Bogota, for her lifetime achievement and contribution to environmental thinking in Colombia. The Award "Augusto Ángel Maya" is named after Augusto Angel Maya, founder of the Institute of Environmental Studies at the National University of Colombia, who left a valuable environmental legacy, recognized both nationally and internationally.

Going High-Tech for Syrian Refugees – Jonathan Yee co-founds Ahlain

 

Jonathan Yee, a committed Youth representative within the Global RCE Network attached to RCE Saskatchewan, Canada, member of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, and a strong advocate on sustainability issues, recently co-founded Ahlain - an educational platform that aims to address the challenges Canada is facing by the escalating influx of refugees.

OECD Report 2015: Ten success factors for effective post-2015 partnerships

The Development Co-operation Report 2015: Making Partnerships Effective Coalitions for Action is based on analysis and experience, it draws out ten success factors that will enable us to ensure, as we go forward, that partnerships function to their maximum potential and that they are fit-for-purpose in addressing the imposing challenges of the post-2015 world.
