Sustainable and Social Entrepreneurship – A Curriculum / ProSPER.Net Outlines Modular Course

The 5th ProSPER.Net Leadership Programme “Building transformational leadership towards the Sustainable Development Goals” will be held on 29 June – 5 July, 2017, at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
The Programme will provide participants with the necessary inter-disciplinary skills to lead sustainable development initiatives in local, regional or global contexts. The Programme has a special focus on collaborative efforts, leveraging networks and will involve multiple stakeholders.
More than 6,000 researchers, educators, students, and citizens from Japan and abroad will meet during two Sustainability Weeks in Hokkaido. During the last two weeks in October, the latest scientific knowledge on sustainability will be discussed in different symposia, workshops and showcased in exhibitions. Join us now for the 10th Global RCE Conference, 23-25 November, 2016 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The Conference will discuss strategies to make substantial contributions to the Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As 2017 will be an important year marking the mid-term of the GAP, the Conference also aims to reflect on the achievements and challenges of RCEs and discuss how we can accelerate our actions by engaging and working with local communities.
The International Academic Forum hosted its annual Asian Conference on Education and International Development (ACEID 2016) in Kobe, Japan on 3-6 April. The theme for this year’s event was “Education for Social Justice” and scholars from over 40 countries used the opportunity to discuss the latest trends and topics in education in both national and international development.

Over 750 participants from 22 countries shared their thoughts on the role of education in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), at the international conference ‘Education as a Driver for Sustainable Development Goals’, which began at CEE, on 11th January, 2016.
The Nature Group Task Force of the Commons Cluster is growing rapidly. They now completed their report on integrating Nature into urban environments. So far reports on Integrating Nature into Education (SDG 4); and into Gender considerations (SDG 5) have been produced.
