10 YFP Trust Fund: Calls for proposal

The Secretariat of the 10 Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP) organises calls for proposals to support the shift towards SCP. Governments and not-for-profit organizations in developing countries and countries with economies in transition are invited to submit proposals in response to these calls.

Call for IPBES young fellows pilot programme - Deadline is 31 May 2015

The is a call for nominations of fellows for the IPBES young fellows pilot programme. The pilot programme is targeting young scholars who wish to gain experience by participating in the development of the regional and sub-regional assessments (Africa, Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe and Central Asia) or the thematic assessment on land degradation and restoration. Selected fellows will take part as contributing authors to the chapter of the assessment they are selected for.

Equator Initiative Prize - Theme - Climate Change

The Equator Initiative partnership is pleased to announce the Equator Prize 2015 call for nominations.

This year, as a special contribution to United Nations Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP21), the Equator Prize 2015 will honor 20 outstanding local and indigenous community initiatives that are reducing poverty, protecting nature and strengthening resilience in the face of climate change.

Sustainable peerage

LAST week, the University of the Philippines (UP) hosted the 8th Asia-Pacific RCE Conference. Before the day I learned I was going to be part of the technical working group for the conference, I didn't know what RCE was. I asked the assistant who handed the memo what RCE was, and she could only manage a smile for an answer. Poor me, I got a smaller world.
