Professional and Graduate Capability Framework: assessment of interpersonal and cognitive abilities

This document gives a good overview of the Graduate Capability Framework endorsed by Global L&T leaders that have been involved in Geoff Scott’s OLT National Teaching Fellowship.

This is a professional capability framework that has been validated in studies of successful graduates in nine professions along with studies of educational leaders in schools, VET and Higher Education. It distinguishes between capabilities and competencies.

GDN: Call for proposals mobilizing local knowledge for competitiveness strategies

The Global Development Network (GDN) is launching a new research program on Industrial Policy in developing countries as the chosen partner of the Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice of the World Bank Group, with the financial support of the Competitive Industries and Innovations Program (CIIP).

2 ESD-related PhDs at London South Bank University available

Applications are welcome for two full-time, funded PhDs commencing in September 2015 in the School of Law and Social Sciences at London South Bank University. The scholarships cover fees and offer a stipend of £15,000 p.a. for three years.

We welcome proposals in all areas of research relevant to the School, including areas that address the School research focus of “Social Justice and Global Responsibility”. We are particularly interested in applications which relate to one or more of the following:

New ProSPER.Net co-sponsored internship with Global Compact Cities Programme and RMIT University

ProSPER.Net is excited to announce that it is currently developing a co-sponsored internship programme with the Global Compact Cities Programme and RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. This pilot collaboration will be based on two urban research focused internships for postgraduate students from ProSPER.Net universities in the Asia Pacific region. Interns will be based in a selected city government and assist that city with completing a Global Compact City Scan assessment.
