RCE Biodiversity Projects During the Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD

During the Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD, from 2015-2019, a total of 135 biodiversity education projects were conducted by RCEs across 30 countries. These projects focused on SDG 14 (Life Below Water) or SDG 15 (Life on Land), and were tied to SDG 4 (Quality Education) along with a range of other goals. This video from UNU-IAS provides an overview of the target audiences and thematic areas across the projects completed, following research which analysed the SDGs, themes, institutions, audiences and environments of RCE projects during the GAP. In addition, we hear from a number of RCEs on the actions they took to address the threats to biodiversity in their region, and the impacts these had in their communities. Watch it here.
