Socioeconomic and environmental characteristics of the area : 
Trang is a province with a wide range of cultural traditions. According to the diversity of races, religions, lifestyles and beliefs of the population in Trang Province, which will be divided into 3 groups: Thai, Chinese and Muslim. Thailand is the indigenous group in the area of Khao Kuan and the plains of the river among the hills and among the Chinese fields. They migrated from overseas to settle along the coastal plains and ports for convenience in trading, become a market group. Muslim groups are located on the coast and islands.
Description of sustainable development challenge(s) in the area the project addresses: 
The diversity of cultures makes Trang an attractive feature to attracts people from all over the world to visit. Trang Municipality therefore promotes culture and tourism, to develop the economy and society of Trang Province, strengthening the economy on the foundation of cultural preservation, Trang people's way of life under sustainable development, which during the past 20 – 22 January 2023. Trang City Municipality Organized a Chinese New Year event, Nakhon Trang and the Food Festival of the year 2023, which is a cultural tradition of the New Year's Day of Thai-Chinese people in the Thap Thiang community using Trang Clock Tower (Trang Time Square) as the point of organizing the event. There are a variety of activities including : decorative lanterns, check-in point, Miss Chinese Nakorntrang Contest, Chinese cultural performances, paying homage to the God of Fortune (God of Fortune), setting up food stalls. Trang Province is one of the most unique in Thailand. For this event, Trang Provincial Commercial Office has integrated the event with the Trang Municipality by bringing entrepreneurs, shops, restaurants and food menus that are outstanding products of Trang Province to sell to people and tourists. To jointly stimulate the economy and promote tourism which shows the charm of culture, way of life and outstanding food of Trang Province as well.

Rationale: 
Trang City Municipality aims to present interesting cultural highlights of the diverse races, religions, lifestyles and beliefs of the population in Trang Province, to promote
cultural identity of Trang Province. Bringing cultural capital to increase economic value help generate income for people and communities to be the foundation for sustainable development of Trang Province. Chinese New Year is considered the New Year of Chinese people around the world. All people of Chinese descent have taken this day very seriously. The Chinese New Year festival is an ancient tradition that has been around for over 4,000 years. The community will hold a great celebration. There are decorations to decorate the house to be beautiful, Filled with red objects and gatherings of relatives within the family. For Thai people of Chinese descent in Thap Thiang, the Chinese New Year tradition is especially important, which has been practiced and passed on from generation to generation until it is a good tradition of Thap Thiang that must be promoted and preserved to remain in existence for this event. Trang City Municipality has integrated the event with various agencies. Both in the performance of the Chinese culture, bringing entrepreneurs of shops, restaurants and food menus that are outstanding products of Trang Province to sell to the public and tourists. To jointly stimulate the economy and promote tourism, which shows the charm of culture, way of life and outstanding food dishes. It is the important festival to promote the development of the tourism economy. And it can create a network of cooperation in the development of the creative economy for further sustainable development.
Objectives: 
Presenting the traditions, culture, Chinese New Year festival and food festival of Trang province, to be cultural capital to increase economic value help generate income for people and communities to be the foundation in the sustainable development of Trang Province.
Activities and/or practices employed: 
To present the cultural and tourism activities, promote tourism which shows the charm of culture, way of life and outstanding food of Trang Province. Increase economic potential, promote tourism to stimulate the economy for people in Trang province to have more income.

More than 10,000 people
Results: 
Everyone who comes to travel is happy and enjoy various cultures and traditions. Enjoy nightlife, music, the atmosphere of the landmark clock tower check-in point used as an event venue. The color of the music, the performance that indicates civilization, the charm of Trang's outstanding dishes to stimulate the economy of Trang to be famous around the world.
Lessons learned: 
A reflection for people around the world to see the differences and diversity of Trang's culture. Bringing cultural capital to the creative economy for sustainable development.
Key messages:
