Opportunity for Youth to join Sustainable Development Camp at Sejahtera Forest, Korea

Bridge to the World (BTW) is a flagship Youth Programme by RCE Tongyeong, South Korea for adolescents, who research and study sustainable development abroad. To celebrate BTW’s 10-year anniversary, RCE Tongyeong is hosting ‘The 2nd Bridge to the World International Youth Camp’ from 24 July - 5 August, 2017 at the Sejahtera Forest, Tongyeong, South Korea. The comprehensive programme with the overarching theme ‘Let's join hands to build a coexistent future’ is designed for young people (15 – 25 years of age), that are active leaders in sustainable development in their communities and regions.

During the Camp Youth will learn about global citizenship, discuss issues and themes related to the SDGs, and share their experiences in sustainable development from their regions. Participants will choose their own sustainability theme related to their locality and the SDGs. They will share the problem and reach for a solution during the Camp. At the end of the programme, participants will co-write a ‘Youth Declaration for a Sustainable Society’ and share it publicly. The 1st Bridge to the world international Youth Camp was held in 2012.
