The project is driven by an basic damocratic grasroot movement. The organisational work is sponsored by the city of munich and some companys. Each year an ohter key Partner (one of the 50 institutional members of the RCE Munich) is taking the coordination. 2013 it is the NGO Green City http://www.greencity.de/. One challange is the transfer of organisational know how from one year to the next.

15. What are the expected/confirmed outcomes (e.g. impact of the project) Character count 400 words:
The learning is very individualy. There is now evaluation about the lerning effects.
The strenght and cooperation capacity of the network is growing over the years.
16. Are there any unexpected/unplanned results achieved by your project? If yes, briefly describe or list them . Character count 200 words.:
Strong grasroot movement, for example the sucessful public protest against the expansion of the airport.
17. What are the remaining challenges and/or limitations for further development? Character count 300 words.:
The program is very compact, around 60 events in 14 days. This is helpful for a public discussion, bat also difficult for the actors. Futrue developement has to deal with this.
18. What is the project’s contribution to innovative and transformative educational processes for sustainable development (especially regarding formal and/ non-formal learning/research)? Character count 500 words:
The project is based on non-formal learning in all age. It keeps the oportunity to test new ESD concepts, this year exspecially factory and street tours. The integration of education events in rooms and manifestations in public space is a innovative speciality.
19.How can you scale up and mainstream ESD and SD practices of the project and enable it to contribute to the implementation of the Global Action Programme (GAP) as proposed by UNESCO? (max 300 words):
With the current concept there is perhaps no big space for upscaling, see point 17th. A new oporunity is the now permanent financial support by the city of munich. With the end of the decade the concept might change as well. This Award is a contribution to all people engaged and a push factor for the next developement step.
20. How does you project contribute institutional and policy reforms as part of sustainability change? Character count 500 words:
For the contributing institutions the Klimaherbst is a space in which they are able to develop new ESD concepts and to test them. The exchange with other partners provoke also institutional innovation.
21. How does your project further improve capacities of various partners and stakeholders on the theme? Character count 500 words.:
The Topic of the Klimaherbst is the same as the yearly topic of the UN-Decade in Germany (Mobility (2013), Nutition (2012), City (2011), Money (2010), Energy (2009), Water (2008), Climate Change (2007)
With this strong focus the capacities of the partners in this subject rise up. They develop educational concepts and they are influenced by each other. The preparation meetings are a good oportunity for knowledge exchange and networking.
23. What is novel about the project within the RCE network and what could other RCEs learn from this experience? (Answer only if relevant) Character count 250 words.:
The quality of networking. The rotation of the main organiser between a number of key-partners.
24. What is the significance of this project for the region? How important are its results for its particular project category? Character count 250 words.:
The project helps the region of munich to invent better ways of sustainable developement, exspecially to avoid and adapt climate change. The yearly public manifestation is imprtant for political decision making (greening munich).
Developing of networking competence is helpful for all partners in the ESD field and each year the new topic brings new partners on board.
