a) Criteria/ indicators used to assess aspects of RCE work/ project: Character count 300 words:
In September 2021 a report was commissioned analysing the progress made by SPARK the Movement, main applicant of RCE Fryslân, since its start in 2018. The report utilizes the self-evaluation tool for RCEs, with some minor adaptations given it covers all activity since 2018, while RCE Fryslân was only acknowledged as an RCE by January 2021.
For the composition of the report interviews were held with at least two stakeholders from each educational level, as well as with external partners that support regional education. It is structured following the 6 discussions of the RCE self-evaluation tool (Networking and coordination; Activities and their effects; Processes and their impact; Learning strategies and its impact; Networking with other national, European, and global RCEs and the RCE Service Centre; and Value creation).
Given that the mode of working of SPARK the Movement mainly consists of inspiring, facilitating and connecting other actors within the field of Education for Sustainable Development, the involvement and role of SPARK the Movement/RCE Fryslân in different projects varied greatly. Therefore, there was no set of fixed or objective parameters used to assess the impact of our work, but rather a broad definition of impact was utilized. For more information on this approach, please consult the report itself.

Next to this report, a video explaining our way of working was produced. This video was not so much used in the assessment but provides a good overview of some of the aspects of our work and make it easier to communicate our mode of working to the rest of the world.
