For inspiring awareness and action for the protection of environment
Activities and/or practices employed:
Disseminating information to protect & conserve environment within the region by celebrating World Environment Day with ecstatic spirits on the theme “Eco-system Restoration” by :
-Various online and inter-school competitions in the region from 3rd to 5th June, 2021 in order to sensitize the students about environment conservation, its restoration and sustainable development.
-A webinar on theme “Environment Conservation and Sustainability” was organised on May 07, 2021 for college students
-A plantation drive was also conducted in & around HMV campus, Jalandhar
-Various online and inter-school competitions in the region from 3rd to 5th June, 2021 in order to sensitize the students about environment conservation, its restoration and sustainable development.
-A webinar on theme “Environment Conservation and Sustainability” was organised on May 07, 2021 for college students
-A plantation drive was also conducted in & around HMV campus, Jalandhar

Active Participation in following activities:
-Online and inter-school competitions: 450 students from different schools of Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Tarn-Taran and Ludhiana districts along with Jamshedpur participated vigorously and show cased their artistic outlook by following the tagline of the events- “Reimagine, Recreate and Restore” in the following online competitions:• Trash to Treasure competition; Slogan Writing competition; One Minute Video Message competition; Poster Making competition
-Webinar on theme “Environment Conservation and Sustainability” : 100 participants attended the same. Expert talks were presented by Dr. Adarsh Pal, Director HRDC, GNDU, Amritsar on “Biodiversity Restoration in Punjab and by Dr. Chander Prakash, IKGPTU, Kapurthala on the topic “Environment Conservation & Sustainable Development”. A virtual tour of Green Campus of HMV was provided to participants to motivate them further for green steps. An online Award Ceremony of winners of various online competitions was also held and winners shared their views about WED and their personal steps for the celebration of the same.
