This program will feature elements of sustainable community focusing on co-curriculum activities focusing on SDG 4: Quality Education and Covid-19 pandemic. How does this pandemic affect the students in terms teaching and learning process: before, during and post Covid-19 pandemic.
Description of sustainable development challenge(s) in the area the project addresses: 
Student leadership in sustainability cannot be achieved single handed by single stakeholders. Collaboration proves a strategic avenue to develop students’ leadership in SDG. Therefore, in line with the 21st century learning competencies, it is essential that students are empowered to create innovation and inventions related to sustainability. It is important that students play a leading role in SDG and share with other students around Malaysia, Korea, and Indonesia.

Rationale: 
In early 2020, the world was attacked by the Covid -19 epidemic. This pandemic has changed human daily practices. It also affected the education sector. Thus, in response to Covid-19 pandemic challenges, Sejahtera Club RCE Penang in collaboration with SMK Datuk Onn Butterworth, Penang propose “INTERNATIONAL SDG CHALLENGE SCHOOL PROGRAM (Quality Education) DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC: A Perspective from Students through Sustainability Competition” to support the co-curriculum activities focusing on SDG 4 – Quality Education in which the aim is to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.
Objectives: 
•To strengthen the networking between university and schools (Malaysia, Korea, India and Indonesia) in creating and enhancing sustainability understanding through competition and smart partnership between schools.
•To create leaders who are able to transform their knowledge for a sustainable society
•To empower students to be the leaders in promoting SDGs through competition and
teamwork between students
•To share views and concerns about challenges in doing co-curriculum activity during and
post Covid-19 pandemic.
Activities and/or practices employed: 
This program will focus on Sustainability competition focusing on the co-curriculum activities, sharing knowledge and experience about SDG 4 towards the new norms of education. The program will start on 1st September to 24th September 2021 with three competitions activities between schools in four different countries. These competition activities are organized as an initiative to promote sustainability and lifelong learning between schools from different countries. The winners from these competitions will share their success story and learning experience through online program, which will be held on the 2nd October 2021. The sharing sessions will involve students from four different countries. This program has benefited the target groups, which consist of various backgrounds and also community-based.

Results: 
The project was successfully implemented on Saturday, 2nd October 2021. This program served as a platform for educators, teachers, students to share their knowledge and experience in facing this new educational challenge (post Covid-19 pandemic) especially on the co-curriculum activities to ensure the goal of SDG 4 will not have left behind. It also a hope that this collaboration will be continued through the network that has been built through this program.
Lessons learned: 
The main component in this program is sharing sessions: SDG 4 – Quality Education in which the aim is to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” in dealing with Covid-19 pandemic. This program provides a collaboration opportunity for students to share and exchange ideas on sustainability.
Key messages: 
Co-curriculum activities are very important as it balanced the curriculum activities. These activities served as reinforcement activities as students will have action on it. They practiced the sustainable concepts that is very close to students’ life experience. As such, they were very dynamic in empowering them towards SDGs and EfSD.
Relationship to other RCE activities: 
RCE Penang will make this program as a flagship program among inter-RCE. This program will benefit the target groups, which consist of various backgrounds and also community-based.
