RCE Greater Dhaka Organises National Seminar on Food Security and Ecosystem Management during COVID-19

The IUBAT Institute of SDG Studies (IISS) and RCE Greater Dhaka organised a National Seminar on Food Security and Ecosystem Management in COVID-19, held on 19 November, 2020. During the seminar, guests discussed in detail the management of food security during the pandemic and that in order to sustain Bangladesh’s success in agriculture, action plans need to be drawn to meet the food and nutrition needs of the growing population.

RCEs in Greater Burlington and Puerto Rico Collaborate on Sustainable Food Systems Research Project

What bolsters the resilience of smaller farms to sustain themselves during times of economic, geo-climatic and socio-political unrest? This question is at the heart of a new collaborative study currently being undertaken by members of RCE Greater Burlington and RCE Puerto Rico that focuses on identifying essential elements of sustainable food systems. The members are conducting research in the dual geographies of Vermont and Puerto Rico and examining how humans interact with each other and integrate with the non-human world in the production and distribution of food.

European RCEs Gather in Greece to Discuss Climate Change, Sustainable Agriculture, and Government Engagement

Under the theme of 'Climate Change, Sustainable Agriculture, and Food Security', twelve RCEs from ten countries gathered in Heraklion, Greece for the European Regional RCE Meeting 2019, held from 13-14 September, 2019.

RCE Thiruvananthapuram Holds Kerala School Agri Fest 2019

Since 2010, the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), the secretariat of RCE Thiruvananthapuram, has been organising an annual Children’s Agri Science Congress on a specific theme to inspire children to practice agriculture, to see farming as a dignified profession, and to provide them with an understanding of the scientific and social values inherent in agriculture.

RCE CREIAS-Oeste and RCE Porto Metropolitan Hold 'Acorn, Forest and Food' Event

RCE CREIAS-Oeste and RCE Porto Metropolitan recently cooperated with the Municipality of Arouca and Arouca Geopark Association (organisers of the Arouca Chestnut Festival) to hold an event called 'Acorn, Forest and Food' during the Festival, on 28 October, 2018. This event was also attended by Slow Food Porto and Quercus.
