RCE Trang is Reorganized to Tackle Current Challenges
After a decade of existence, since its official acknowledgement by UNU in 2007, RCE Trang, Thailand had been admirably active in carrying out ESD/SD activities and its collaborations with other RCEs in the Asia-Pacific region. Recently the RCE’s stakeholders moved to reorganize and strengthen RCE Trang, to broaden the network, and make it more inclusive and responsive to the needs of the communities.

At the request of the youth delegates at the 10th Global RCE Meeting and with the endorsement of the Ubuntu Committee of Peers for the RCEs, all RCEs are expected to designate a youth coordinator for each RCE.
Turning Passion into a Career
Brittany Hardiman (RCE Greater Western Sydney) explains how she translated her passion for sustainability into a career. Brittany works as a Sustainability Officer at Western Sydney University. Here she discusses the varied opportunities she had professionally since graduating from the School of Science and Health.

UNESCO in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) successfully conducted the “Young ESD Leaders Capacity Building Training Workshop” from 15-16 February, 2017 in New Delhi.
On March 6 and 7, the German RCEs met in Nuremberg to discuss the National Action Plan and topics such as :
Board Members of RCE Denmark have unanimously agreed to set up and fund the first established RCE Youth Network in Europe.
The Youth Network comprises of ten diverse and motivated youth from different parts of Denmark, they include four pupils from primary school, two students from high school, two craft apprentices and two other youth. RCE Denmark will support the Youth Network and would serve as mentor to the Youth with the help of NEXT, one of the largest educational institutions in Denmark and Europe.
